01 / PROTECT

Custom cases and racks.

Technical flight cases, rugged 19" racks and transport cases with machined interiors for equipment that travels, is set up and set up again. The line that started as CASENRUN.

What we solve

Every piece of equipment has its case. Literally.

We have been building custom cases and racks in Illescas since 1998: Finnish birch plywood, aluminium extrusions and hardware from leading European brands, with machined foam interiors that hold each piece of equipment in place.

For defence and instrumentation we build 19" racks with shock-mounted chassis, sealed lids and connection panels. For audiovisual and touring, heavy-duty flight cases, trolleys and wardrobes. We design from drawings or from the equipment itself, from one unit to a series.

  • Rugged, shock-mounted 19" racks
  • Technical and touring flight cases
  • Transport cases for instruments and tools
  • Wardrobes, trolleys and mobile workstations
  • Machined foam interiors, also antistatic (ESD)

Standards and documentation

Built to travel, again and again.

We design each case for its real use: number of trips, mode of transport, shocks and humidity. For defence and aerospace we work to the client's specification and programme standards.

Frequently asked questions

What clients usually ask.

Do you build one-off custom flight cases?

Yes. Most of what we build is custom-made for a specific piece of equipment. We also build series when the same equipment is deployed many times.

What is the difference between a flight case and a rugged rack?

A flight case protects equipment during transport. A rugged rack is also the cabinet the equipment operates in: it has a 19" frame, shock-mounted chassis, removable lids and connection panels, and is used open at the workstation.

Do you make custom foam for Peli or Zarges cases?

Yes. We supply the case and machine the foam to the equipment itself or to its 3D model, including antistatic foam for electronics.

What is CASENRUN?

CASENRUN was the trade name under which we built flight cases and boxes. Today all of Antonio Cachinero y Asociados' business operates as CACHINERO Soluciones Industriales: the same workshop, the same team and the same phone number.

How long does it take?

A custom flight case or rack is usually ready two to four weeks after design approval. Series and racks with integration take longer.
