PLD SPACEMIURA 5 · FIRST STAGE CONTAINER
Every mission starts on the ground.
We are an engineering company with our own workshop. We invent, prototype and build what protects, holds, moves and deploys hardware that cannot fail.
PLD SPACE · MIURA 5
Before it flew, it travelled with us.
The first stage of Spain's first private orbital launcher left the integration plant inside a container designed and built in Illescas. Our work ends where theirs begins.
See the project →00 / WHO WE ARE
What cannot fail travels with us.
Before it reaches the launch pad, every stage, every satellite and every instrument is built, handled and shipped by road. That stretch is ours.
Since 1998 we have been designing, analysing and building containers, tooling and complete systems for space, defence, aerospace and industry in Illescas, Spain. Structure, mechanics, mechatronics and interior protection, under one roof.
SHIELDING THE CORE
Everyone wants to be at your core. We protect it.
In every project there is something our client cannot afford to lose: a launcher stage, a flight instrument, a defence system. We design and build everything around it, layer by layer, until it travels safely.
- 01Custom foamMachined around the part: every pocket made to fit.
- 02Cradle and interfacesHolds the part only where it can be held.
- 03Shock isolationThe shocks of the journey never reach the payload.
- 04Calculated structureWithstands lifting, stacking and transport.
- 05ContainerSealed, with controlled atmosphere and journey logging.
The missing partner
The muscle and agility that large programmes need.
Prime contractors are winning more and more programmes, but every contract comes with more approval layers, more suppliers and more bureaucracy. Producing fast and well has become the hardest part. That is why the industry is changing: execution is moving to small engineering companies that can concentrate the whole production cycle in a lean team, with the infrastructure to deliver it.
- Win more and more programmes
- Every decision goes through more approval layers
- Their production processes are slow and costly to move
- Need suppliers who don't become another problem
- A small team that decides the same day
- The whole production cycle under one roof
- Our own workshop, overhead cranes and design office
- A single point of responsibility, from specification to delivery

They win the programme.
We make it happen.

Protect.
Sealed, insulated, controlled-atmosphere containers for flight hardware, engines and systems. From a case with custom foam to the container for a launcher stage.

Hold.
Frames, cradles and turnover fixtures engineered for one-off parts, with the trolleys and platforms to handle them safely. And structures that hold up the sound and image of stadiums, TV sets and control rooms.
Deploy.
We convert shipping containers into command and control posts and mobile classrooms: structure, insulation, HVAC, power and workstations, ready to operate.
Invent.
We turn ideas into things you can touch. We start from the problem, not from a catalogue: we sketch it with you, study its feasibility and turn it into an engineered concept and manufacturing drawings, even when nothing like it exists on the market.

Prototype.
Build.
“Prototypes are easy. Production is hard.”
Elon Musk
We do both. We turn an idea into a working prototype in weeks and, once it works, we build the complete system in our workshop: structure, mechatronics, wiring, electronics and equipment integration, tested and documented.
